Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• 3 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

• Experience being a direct manager of engineers and creating and delivering on a strategy.

• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.

• Experience in C++, Java, Python, or GO.

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in software development.

• 3 years of experience in a people management role.

• Experience developing software or infrastructure for scalable distributed systems.

• Experience with Cloud database technologies.

The Spanner Migration team offers consistency, powers products, solves challenges across the Spanner stack, and delivers impact for both Google and external clients. In this role you will collaborate to solve distributed systems problems and make a significant impact at Google. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will shape strategies, overcome technical hurdles, and create migration and observability experiences for Spanner customers.
