Job Description

System Administrator- Min. 8 years’ experience in a production IT environmentThe Database Administratorwould be responsible for support, administration and optimisation of existing systems through technical expertise in Microsoft technology stack.Responsibilities Responsible for complete administration of Microsoft SQL Server andMSSQL. Acts as expert for infrastructure teams in the planning and designing of Database. Hands on experience in query optimization, Implementing and maintaining Database security. Preparing the development, QA environment for the development and testing of applications. Performing regular activities to boost up the performance such as missing index creation, re-indexing, updating the statistics, identifying and optimizing long running/blocking queries. Extensive knowledge in maintenance and optimization of Database and Server using various SQL tools (SQL Profiler, Indexes, Statistics, File Groups, DBCC). Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy. Defines data retention, backup, and recovery methods and plans. Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions. Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems. Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations. Ensure regulatory and legal compliances with respect to licensing etc. Provide third level support and maintenance of logs for incidents and problems in designated areas of responsibility.Educational Qualifications& Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & communications / Computer Engineering. Microsoft CertifiedExperience& Skills Min. 8 years’ experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise Database Administration, scripting and Database backup (including third parties software). Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs. Must have a thorough knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server, MSSQL, Mongo DB & other open source Databases. Knowledge of Database -Microsoft SQL Server (2012, 2014, 2017), MSSQL, Mongo DB & other open source Databases. Managing servers in terms of Database monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuningon both stand alone as well as clustered servers (active-passive & active-active-passive). Strong ability to communicate well in English, orally and in writing. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and keep abreast of the latest technology.Desirable Proven leadership qualities in team environment Proven Customer Facing-Skills Well versed in Microsoft SQLflavours& MS Excel reports.Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
