Minimum qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in systems development and maintenance.

• 5 years of experience in people management.

• Experience in systems administration, Linux, networking, identity management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux, etc.), TCP/IP networking, and security fundamentals.

• Experience in Cloud computing platforms such as Google Compute Platform (GCP).

• Knowledge of Cloud computing technologies such as Docker, containers, Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), etc.

• Knowledge of configuration as code technologies (Puppet and Ansible) and Infrastructure as code tech (Terraform).

• Familiarity with code written to automate monitoring or data analysis (Python, Shell, JavaScript, Go, etc.).

• Lead and manage a team of Systems Development Engineers focused on the large-scale Fleet Management of various parts of Google’s internal IT infrastructure. Provide technical guidance and mentorship, set expectations and goals, and conduct performance reviews.

• Oversee the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex Fleet Management systems involved in securing and managing various parts of Google’s IT infrastructure. Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop project plans and schedules, and manage resources.

• Develop and implement Systems Engineering processes and procedures. Ensure that the team follows best practices and that projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Work with the team and its partners to identify the root cause of problems and develop solutions.
