Google Looking For Regulatory Counsel, Competition at Gurgaon, Haryana, Full Time

• JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with managing projects and partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Indian litigation, including in various courts and the Indian Supreme Court on competition issues.
• Experience working with technology companies, with the ability to understand technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, analytical, and investigative skills.

The competition legal team at Google is dedicated to advising Google on a wide variety of matters that pose anti-trust risk to products and businesses. The team specializes in giving legal advice about competition risks, and coming up with creative ways to mitigate and eliminate those risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage various aspects of competition law cases in the region.
• Work with various legal, product, engineering, and business team members to provide counseling on competition issues.
• Partner with outside counsel to help resolve competition issues.
• Assist in constructively building new and emerging competition regulation.
