Summary Description:
The Associate, UX-UI focuses on designing platforms and digital experiences that meet candidates’ needs while advancing their Graduate Management Education (GME) journey. The role is responsible for delivering fast and sustainable results in the following areas:

• Gather user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components to increase user engagement and conversions, across the GMAC digital properties; and
• Put in place the design artifacts and usability tools that will increase user engagement, conversions and the value extracted from our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operate in the same space.
• Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions.
• Participate in creating a content development strategy.
• Coordinate with Digital Ecosystem team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more.
• Track usability and engagement goals and prepare reports for senior management.
• Develop mockups for our development and DES team.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.
• Conduct usability tests on each independent type of page on the website and create a report showcasing your findings.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software.
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and appear to a user.
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches and tables).
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.
• Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in design, development or engineering; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
• 1-2 years of UX and UI experience, preferably in a professional capacity.
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Good experience with use of HTML5, CSS, interactive design with JavaScript and jQuery.
• Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.

• Excellent organizational, project planning, presentation and time management skills with careful attention to detail.

• Ability to manage daily operations of the function, prioritize work without direction and make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide variety of people using diplomacy, tact and discretion.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated writing skills for business.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

• Strong analytical and multitasking capabilities.

Desired Skills/Experience:
