Digital vertical which is part of the CIS Group, is recruiting R&D Software Development Engineer to build product and solution and delivering a value to the customers.In HPE CIS/CTG, you will join a highly experienced R&D team using modern technologies and techniques thru agile methodologies to strengthen the current solution but also to be part of building the future of HPE, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency: sub-millisecond processing times, 99.999+% availability, high performance computing.Together we are spearheading the organization and the company in this Mobility world.

The candidate will ideally have good testing experience and subject matter knowledge to help deliver good quality complex business solutions in either Telecom Carrier Cloud, Network Function Virtualization Solutions and/or virtualization, cloud and Core Networking.

Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is a telecommunication service provider (CSP) business and architectural initiative to greatly reduce the capital and operational expenditure needed to build and operate telecommunications networks. The premise of NFV is that aggressive and systematic adoption of IT business models and open architectures based on IT technologies will achieve these goals

ABOUT the Role and Responsibilities

• Hardware configuration of HPE servers using VM/Container based cloud platforms from industry leaders such as Redhat, VMWare, Windriver, Google, Microsoft

• Deployment, configuration and validation of vRAN solution from CU/DU partners, 5G Core, MEC Solution

Automation of manual tasks using configuration automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and utilizing languages such as python, Golang and using data exchange format such as JSON, XML

Experience with implementing solutions based on DMTF Redfish specifications

Collaborates and communicates with management and customers/partners in providing the updates/status throughout the activity.

Interact with HPE partners, customers and field teams.

Guiding and mentoring new team members.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

• Typically, 5+ years’ relevant experience.

  Mandatory Skills

• Thorough understanding of vRAN, MEC architecture

• Good understanding in LTE, 5G RAN

• Good understanding on O-RAN standards

• Experience on Cloud Technologies like Openstack, – RedHat Openstack, VMware vCloud NFV, VMWare Tanzu, Google Anthos, Microsoft Azure etc..

• Experience on Container Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc

• Experience on carrier grade features in networking

• Experience of Virtualization (VMWare, KVM Citrix, MS Hyper-V), Cloud Technologies (OpenStack) including their trends and challenges.

• NFVI, MANO architectures and standards, its use cases, and etc.

• Solid understanding of Cloud Orchestration , Cloud Automation and Scripting languages ( python/shell/Ansible )

• Working experience on Rest API, JSON, YAML & TOSCA will be desirable

• Hands on experience on Network/Cloud debugging and RCA

• Familiarity with HPE Proliant, ILO for HPE server management and other vendors’ Servers, Networking, Storage is desirable

• Must be able to work effectively in a geographically-distributed teams including vendors and partners

  Desirable Skills:

• A strong background of HPE and other vendors’ Servers, Networking, Storage is also highly desirable.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD techniques (Jenkins/GIT/JIRA)
