Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
‘Hindustan Feeds is a professionally managed agro-based company with manufacturing units located in Satara, Baramati, Shrirampur and Merta (Rajasthan). Hindustan Feeds is a market leader with a strong presence in the cattle feed industry and a rapidly growing business in Maharashtra. We are looking for a dynamic candidate for the below-mentioned position to join our team at our Baramati plant.
Role Summary:
Driving overall business strategy, growth, and profitability. Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the organization while ensuring the effective execution of key initiatives.
Overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations including sales, supply chain,
manufacturing, finance, and HR. Managing internal and external stakeholders and representing the organization externally.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
§ Define and communicate the company’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
§ Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion.
§ Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
§ Make informed decisions on investments, partnerships, and business initiatives.
2. Sales & Marketing:
§ Derive and implement strategies for enhancing market reach and penetration.
§ Building a strong market network and focusing on farmer engagement.
§ Identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance brand value.
3. Operational Management:
§ Heading operations concerning cost, resource, time, manpower planning and quality compliance.
§ Establishing new business initiatives to create an annual operating plan (AOP) to support strategic directions.
§ Setting departmental KPIs and targets, monitoring performance, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across all functions.
§ Strengthen the supply chain network to meet demand forecast with cost, efficiency, and capacity constraints.
§ Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
4. Financial Management:
§ Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
§ Optimize financial resources, manage capital allocation, and make investment decisions.
§ Establishing techniques to bring efficiency in-plant operations to improve quality standards and to achieve maximum cost savings.
§ Controlling the manufacturing costs through control of manpower utilization, power and fuels.
5. Stakeholder Management:
§ Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including promoters, board of directors, employees, customers, suppliers, and partners.
§ Represent the company to external parties, such as investors, government agencies, and industry associations.
§ Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on company performance and strategic initiatives.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
§ Build a high-performing executive team and provide leadership, guidance, and support.
§ Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability throughout the organization.
§ Inspire and motivate employees, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
7. Corporate Governance and Compliance:
§ Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
§ Establish and maintain effective corporate governance practices.
