Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Category Buyer, who will be responsible for the tactical procurement activities to ensure that the business is running and being one point of contact towards suppliers. The category buyer will support on supply issues (delivery/quality) and continues improvement activities with suppliers to secure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership
In this role you will become part of a global organization within the Danfoss Refrigeration and A/C Controls (RAC) Division. You will report to the Regional Head of Procurement and be based out of Chennai, India.
Job Responsibilities

• To support various Procurement activities of different region within RAC division.
• Idea Tracking Tool (Cost Down ideas) monitoring and updating on regular frequencies for Global Plants
• Ensuring smooth flow of payment to supplier by removing error on blocked invoices
• Ensuring quarterly review of Surcharge in place and ensuring linked with ITT.
• Tracking on Tool life monitoring @ supplier for the capex given by Danfoss
• Ensure release of Proto PO and Tool PO to supplier by following with BDS team.
• Review of payment terms on regular basis against the supplier invoice
• Support Project Manager on ECR Process
• Support Category Manager for sending RFQ and follow up with suppliers for getting quote and consolidate the Business Case
• Support Category Manager for preparation of Operational Management Meeting with Supplier for Supplier Performance Improvement

Background & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/relevant degree
• 4 to 6 years of experience specific to Procurement background
• 2 to 4 years of experience in handling Mechanical commodity
• Effective & Efficient Global & Local Stakeholder Management
• Fluency in Excel, Power point & Soft Skills
• Positive and open-minded attitude with solid communication skills in English
• Dedicated, goal-oriented and thrive on working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
• Experience in SAP Hana, SAP BI and reporting tools.
