Advanced Systems Engr Experience required : 5 – 9 Years An expert Smart Energy Metering System Engineer having core experience in conceptualization, solution design, testing and implementation of Smart Energy applications, head end systems, field meters, Validation etc. Hands-on working experience is mandatory . Responsibilities:

Analysis:
Discuss, review and analyze customer requirements / specifications together with team for solution development closely aligned with defined products.
Add software elements to the existing software according to the solution that must be developed.
Technical Design – To define detailed data semantics, structure, access, and communication standards considering the applied hardware and required functionality and performance requirements.
Understand and able to create Testing process, test Case Design/Scenario, test Plan and Result.
Select and describe the algorithms for data processing, Define how the product must be implemented.
Define detailed tasks for 3rd party contractors when required (through Jira/Installation guides)
Analyse complex systems and perform root cause analysis.

Development/Delivery

Integrate the functional specifications into the existing product line and into the technical design
Define and describe the parameterization and the elements needed to implement the parameterization, both for HW as for SW
Program, Configure and Implement the developed solution as per objective specifications and follow international industry codes & standards.
Test the solution considering the interaction with other elements, for own products as well as for customer- specific situations. (Testing can be via remote environment or at customer’s location based on project requirements)
Coordinate & track (scheduling/testing/quality) specific development activities performed by 3rd parties
Create customer/solution specific documentation for training and other operational tasks
Support the provisioning of customer/3rd party training services, Customer support during Nursing Period.
Actively involved in migration activities and initial system load activities

Other tasks

Ensure that general safety and health requirements for both clients and company are observed at workplace
Maintain the developed/delivered solution
Shall Generate and maintain high quality and accurate system engineering documents to meet project delivery or tender document due date.
Revise documents to accommodate changes and improvements.
Train colleagues in the context of mutual knowledge transfer
Stay informed with up-to-date knowledge with latest technological trends, industry practices and functional needs of the different types of customers and to offer corresponding solutions
Actively Participate in internal consultation meetings and as well as customer meetings.
Contribute to presales related activities (WBS, estimations)
Perform 2nd / 3rd line support activities.
Follow standard workflow procedure for engineering document establishment, issuance and approval.
Execute other assigned activities when needed.
Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities
Dedicatedly recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
Assist project manager in defining and estimating the engineering/technical change of work, Adhere on-time time reporting and approvals. Requirements:

A Professional Degree in Information Technology / Software Engineering / E&T / or equivalent.
Extensive experience in Smart Energy Metering Domain. Experienced with High end system application engineering, utility meters (Water, Gas, Electricity)
Familiar with Basic knowledge in SQL/Java Script/Linux Env/Window Env.
Programming skills – C, C++, VB
Tools and Protocols – JIRA, CRM, DLMS, GSM, GPRS, G3, MBUS, CAN, I2C, UART
Sound knowledge and hands-on experience working with Web Service testing, CIM Code, DLMS, Proprietary Meters & Protocol, SAP Integration.
Basic understanding of Software logics, DB Queries
Knowledge of company specific software (Atlassian suite, JIRA Confluence)
Bitbucket and general programming languages (JAVA), architecture
Working knowledge on standard MS Office software
Good interpersonal skills and able to get along with all levels.
Should be able to work and contribute as a team.
Strong knowledge in technical data and documentation, such as drawings, technical manuals / specification and industrial code and standard would be an added advantage.
Ability to identify add-on solutions to customers’ processes
Perseverance, understanding and non-confrontational approach for difficult customers
Candidates having experience on Honeywell smart energy products and applications shall be preferred. Travel – Yes 30% or as required.
As demanded by profile, engineer will have to travel to locations for various engineering requirements including Proof of Concept Test, Project Go Live phase, Concept approvals, customer meetings etc. based on project requirements
Professional Degree in Information Technology / Software Engineering / E&T / or equivalent.
