Create world class continuous integration and delivery pipeline for the unified firmware platform Provide robust, scalable, secure, cost effective, and streamlined infrastructure for stable and reliable firmware development, test, and pipeline operations Develop and integrate tools to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality

Infra architect’s primary focus is in designing and architecting solutions to accomplish (ii) above by working with global firmware development, test, tools, and management communities.

Infra Architect Skills and Experience

• Experience in leading transformational and complex infrastructure projects

• Experience working closely with global stake holders to drive common technological outcomes

• Must have thorough knowledge of the Windows / Linux OS concepts, Active Directory and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software.

• Experience in designing virtualization using VMware or other virtualization software

• Experience in managing data center in terms of capacity planning, provisioning, performance tuning, systems monitoring, designing, and implementing HA & DR strategies.

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other network protocols and services

• Strong experience in design and implementation of IAAS (Infrastructure as a service) model

• Strong knowledge of storage architectures and operational standards for storage infrastructure selection, support, monitoring and implementation.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (BASH, Powershell, PyScript)

• Strong working knowledge of Containerization using Docker or Kubernetes

• Ability to adapt and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Experience working in agile scrum projects

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience

Infra Architect Responsibilities

• Architect and design industry leading technology solutions to address business and technical problems in the infrastructure space

• Engage with partners and stakeholders, understand their needs/requirements, and translate those into a minimum viable product with technical and nonfunctional requirements.

• Provide technical leadership in the creation, maintenance, and governance of technical roadmaps.

• Continuous review of current infrastructure to detect deficiencies, recommend, plan and implement solutions for improvement.

• Provide technical leadership for complex problem solving and ongoing consultation to projects around technical solutions and best practices.

• Develop, implement, and practice a robust, quantitative, qualitative technology evaluation process.

• Document infrastructure performance criteria, testing strategies, trade-offs and recommendations using a data-driven approach.

• Review design documents to ensure that they follow the standards.

• Facilitate, communicate, collaborate, and influence peers and partners in defining, adopting, and implementing a coherent technical architecture.

• Maintain awareness and expertise of the latest cloud and infrastructure, orchestration, and automation visualization technologies to proactively support the adoption of new capabilities.

• Evolve current legacy network service and solution offerings into next generation capabilities aligned to new and emerging business needs.

• Drive innovation and improve performance of the applications in scope.

• Provide recommendations and implement ways to modernize technology to meet business demands in a cost-effective manner.

• Develop, drive, and practice a robust security strategy.
