We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

In this role, you will:
Responsible for Technical Delivery of SQL Server Database Support for Business Delivery and Estate Management.

Engaging with Business Users, Analysing the Requirements, Planning and Implementation of New Builds, Patching, Migrations and Upgradation of Environments.

Providing Consultancy for New Projects, Environment Setups, Planning Backup and Disaster Recovery.

Plan, implement and maintain recovery procedures and emergency disaster recovery plans.

Investigate and provide solutions to Database Performance related issues, Query Tuning, Analysing Environments Resources & Capacity.

Good knowledge in Change Management, Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis and Work experience in Agile Model, Kanban, Jira, Confluence

Contribute to enhancement of technical competency / application knowledge of team members.

Enforce HSBC Standards & Processes and adherence to compliance of all internal controls.

Requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

A Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with a major or minor in Computer Science or related field.

Good knowledge in Sybase and SQL Server – Architecture, security, operational knowledge

Strong Hands on experience in Sybase and MS SQL Server DBA skills on ASE 15 & 16, SQL Server 2014, 2016 & 2019.

Experience in Installing, configuring, patching Sybase Instance on standalone and VCS environment and patching Failover cluster and SQL Always On Environments and Experience in troubleshooting issues for Sybase and SQL Servers Upgradation and Migration of Database,

Experience Performance tuning of Sybase and SQL Server Databases.

Knowledge in Sybase replication, IQ and SQL – SSRS, SSIS and Experience in Power shell, TSQL scripting is an added advantage.

Good understanding of Linux and windows operating system

Excellent Communication and Interpretation Skills, Resource needs to work in 24*7 work environment.
