High school teachers also play a crucial role in preparing students for college or the workforce by providing guidance and support in areas such as college applications, career exploration, and job readiness.

In addition to their teaching duties, high school teachers may also be involved in extracurricular activities such as coaching sports teams or advising student clubs.

To become a high school teacher, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is typically required, high school teachers also pursue advanced degrees or certifications to further their knowledge and expertise in a particular subject area.
