Introduction
As an Azure Cloud Solution Architect and a member of Ecosystem Labs, it will be your responsibility to partner jointly with other specialists with enabling IBM Microsoft alliance team to drive adoption of IBM Software through the delivery of consistent solution patterns into the Azure Cloud Platform. The outcome is to drive growth and adoption of Red Hat and IBM Software Across the Microsoft client base. Focus areas will include working within our Ecosystem Labs to define architectures and integrations to help enable IBM software on Azure, ensuring Red Hat OpenShift is widely adopted in the market for Azure clients, and leveraging our hybrid cloud platform. This is a unique opportunity to learn how to solve complex challenges for clients across industry verticals by leveraging highly differentiated Hybrid Cloud Software and an industry leading public cloud provider.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Azure Cloud Solution Architect for Ecosystem Labs, you will

• Apply methodology and governance contributing to design and/or delivery of solutions (e.g. Well-Architected Framework, Enterprise Scale Landing Zone, Cloud Adoption Framework, IBM Ecosystem Labs). Demonstrates an understanding of customer/partner conditions of success.
• Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a meaningful IBM Ecosystem Labs engagement on use cases that could encompass Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). Architect solutions to meet client’s needs, ensure technical viability of new solutions and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies and Application Development and DevOps technologies (e.g. App Service, containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.) as appropriate
• Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects, and Ecosystem Lab specialists in developing complex end-to-end enterprise solutions with foundation of hybrid RHEL or managed Azure RedHat OpenShift with IBM Cloud Paks for Data in Microsoft Azure Data Services integration
• Ensure all solutions leverage the design and operations guidance according to the Well-Architected framework across all pillars, including performance efficiency, security, operational excellence, reliability, and cost optimization
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build plan for implementing solution –governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production. Use Microsoft CAF combined with IBM Ecosystem Labs Landing Zones to rapidly prototype and deliver proof-of-concepts that accelerate production deployment
• Develop deep relationships with key customers on developing valuable integrated solutions to drive long-term IBM and Microsoft cloud solutions adoption within their company to enabling cloud advocates

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years professional experience including technology leadership, consulting/professional services, product strategy, business leadership, sales, or directly within Customer Success
• OR Master’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years professional experience including technology leadership, consulting/ professional services, product strategy, business leadership, sales, or directly within Customer Success
• OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years engineering and/or technology experience (e.g., technology field, Services, Consultant, Specialist Team Unit, Technical Sales, system integrators, developer, project manager, sales).

We would also expect you to be able to pass the following Azure Certifications Path in the first 3-6 months of employment with us, if you do not already hold them:
Path

• AZ-303: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies – Required
• AZ-304: Microsoft Azure Architect Design – Required
• DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals – Preferred

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
The ideal candidate will have a breadth of knowledge across cloud computing topics and Azure with specialization on Data & AI, as well as hands-on expertise in topics from three or more of the technical areas below:

• Relational database migrations across SQL Server and OSS database technologies.
• Open-source relational database technologies such as MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL; preferably in the context of Azure Database
• Azure Synapse & Cosmos DB with an understanding of how to achieve scalability and availability
• Working with structured and unstructured data in Big Data scenarios using technologies such as SQL Data Warehouse, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift and data lake concepts.
• Advanced Analytics using technologies such as Databricks and Spark.
• Developing streaming workloads using technologies such as Spark streaming, Flink, Kafka streams and Storm.
• Data governance, logging and lineage (IBM Cloud Paks, Azure Purview, etc..).
• Data Science deployments and the use of frameworks such as Cloud Paks for Data, Pandas and TensorFlow.
• Machine Learning, preferably using Azure ML and ML Server.
• Artificial Intelligence, preferably using Azure Cognitive Services and the Microsoft Bot Framework. Candidates must also exhibit a technical propensity to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trends
