Your Role and Responsibilities
As the EDA Manager these are some of the key responsibilities:
Manage Project deliveries adhering to quality and schedule requirements
Work with Global team to ensure that resource allocation for key project tasks are fulfilled
Update status in local and global Project Status Meeting
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ years of creative experience in Semiconductor/Software industry;
3+ years as a People Manager
Understanding and experience in management of at least 1 generation of Processor/ASIC/SOC/IP project development life cycle (Hands-on Logic Design/Functional Verification experience is a plus) and software development life cycle.
Experience in project planning – sizing, staffing, risk forecast & mitigation
Excellent communication skills and experience with global stakeholder interactions
Preferred : Exposure to full stack development, OCP, Databases, and client server architecture, eclipse development environment etc.
Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
Adopted Agile, DevOps, and Design Thinking methodologies at work
Experience working in a global team environment
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Prior experience in people management and understanding of business process
Exposure to Agile methodology
About Business UnitIndia Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of IBM Systems world-wide technology development lab. Established in 1996, the Lab is headquartered in India’s Silicon Valley and startup hub – Bengaluru, with a strong presence in Pune and Hyderabad. Developers at ISDL deliver technology innovations across the entire Systems portfolio – z Systems, Power / OpenPOWER Systems and Storage. The team here works across the entire stack from processor design, firmware, operating system to software defined storage. The lab also focuses on innovations, thanks to the creative energies of the teams. The lab has contributed over 400+ patents in cutting edge technologies and inventions so far.
The Electronic Design Automation (EDA) group at IBM develops advanced CAD tools used in designing the world’s most secure and powerful microprocessors and system ASICS. Our EDA tools and methodologies enable the design of leading-edge microprocessors that are the foundation of the hybrid cloud, cognitive/AI, security, blockchain, mobile, and data analytic computing. The group develops and supports high performance design automation software generally not available in the commercial market. These software tools cover the full spectrum of the chip design process.
This job requires you to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date.
