Your role and responsibilities

As a Linux Development Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Developing, maintaining and fixing Linux distro packages specific to Power/ppc architecture.

• Validation of Linux distro images using frameworks such as openQA.

• You will be required to build, maintain and improve automation for installation of Linux Distributions.

• You will also interact with the opensource communities such as Debian, Fedora an Ubuntu communities to upstream your work.

Required technical and professional expertise

• 1 to 5 years of experience in working on projects related to Yocto distribution, Linux distributions and build packages.

• Strong programming skills in C, Python and shell scripting

• Strong Operating Systems skills.

• Working knowledge of Computer Systems Architecture.
