Your Role and Responsibilities
The Role and Responsibilities of the Product Manager are below :
Market intelligence – Be the expert on our buyers, how they buy, and their industry use cases; be the expert on our competition and how to put them out of business
Positioning – Identify and develop product positioning that uniquely differentiates IBM Cloud as the leading provider of hybrid cloud security
Financial – develop and track business strategy, with responsibility over Profit and Loses
Sales and marketing tools – Create market and GTM strategy and assets that communicate the value proposition of our products and help enterprise sales compete effectively in an ever-evolving market
Product launch – Plan the market launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan across sales and product management
Communications – Work with sales and marketing teams to broadcast our message to the market, across the organization, and our partner community
Industry leadership – Represent the company at industry events (conferences and trade shows) digitally (on webinars, podcasts, and social media), and as a spokesperson for analyst and press coverage
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Worked as a Product Manager and has experience in leading hybrid cloud security products or services
Experience driving high growth business, new product introduction with strong focus on establishing credibility in the market
Knowledge of the cloud security and data security market segment – technologies, best practices, vendors, and competitive landscape
Experience with enterprise requirements and common security and compliance policies for large banking and financial institutions
Strategic and creative thinker
Strong business and data analysis skills related to the public and private cloud.
Experienced in building business plans and constructing solid business cases that are based on facts and numbers
Strong leadership skills to drive ideas and projects to completion across a highly matrixed organization
Effectively manage priorities and a product backlog with familiarity in Agile development methodology.
Analytical skills and prior roles managing a product or services portfolio, performing financial and market analysis
Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting to large and small audiences
Minimum 5 years of experience in the software development industry, and proven track record in delivering highly technical products, product collateral and broad team enablement
Minimum of 3 years experience of strong leadership skills to create and drive ideas and projects to completion across a highly matrixed organization (intra and inter division)
Minimum 3 years experience or equivalent education in Business and Management to analyze the business, market demand, cost and revenue, perform price analysis, GTM market plans, and produce competitive landscape reports
Minimum of 1 year in relationship management with clients or business partners
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Understanding of cyber security domain in reference to solutions and implementation processes
Specialization in Data/Information Science would be preferred
Experience with hybrid multicloud deployments including Kubernetes, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Proficiency in developing modernized applications
Experience with enterprise requirements and common security and compliance policies for large enterprises especially in key industries like Banking and Financial, Insurance, Government, Telco, Retail, and Healthcare
Understanding of the OM/PM process: requirements gathering and prioritizing, successful leadership through the release process, GTM and channels, ISV relations, business development. Experience building a business and driving long term success
