Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Firmware developer you will be responsible for designing and developing components and features independently in IBM India Systems Development Lab. ISDL works on end-to-end design and development across Power, Z and Storage portfolio. You would be a part of WW Firmware development organization and would be involved in designing & developing cutting edge features on the OpenBMC stack for next generation enterprise Power servers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3-16 years of relevant Industry Experience (Multiple openings)
• Proficient in C++, STL, Design patterns, Data structures
• OpenBMC development experience
• Hands on experience working on Linux flavors and strong OS fundamentals
• Experience with Open-source tools & Scripting languages: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Perl/Python, Bitbake
• Excellent debug and problem determination skills
• You should be a self-starter, team player and flexible to work in an agile fashion collaborating with global teams

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Exposure to any of the following areas are desirable
• Server Management protocols (Redfish, PLDM, REST, MCTP)
• Networking domain (Socket programming/DHCP/VLAN/ IPv6/Linux Firewalls)
• Experience with Hardware bring up will be an added plus
