Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior QA/Test Engineer, you will lead IBM into the future by translating system requirements into the design, development& Testing of customized systems in an agile environment. We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Modern Data Protection Test team focusing on creation and execution of test cases for the Modern Data Protection portfolio. You will be developing and running automated tests to validate the solution in customer-like environments, diagnosing issues and working with the development team to validate corrective code fixes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 8+ years Test experience (preferably Unix/Linux)
• 3+ years of experience in testing applications using containers (Docker), Kubernetes.
• Experience in creating and maintaining test environments on OpenShift / container environment.
• OpenShift container certification (IBM/RedHat) will be preferable.
• Strong Python, Perl and Java experience.
• Good experience with Test automation frameworks.
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, C/C++, Go, Git will be preferred.
• Familarity with RTC(Rational Team Concert) and RQM (Rational Quality Manager) will be preferred.
• Experience with System level testing and large scale custemer environment testing (CET) will be preferred.
• Experience working on collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies.
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work.
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understanding of Storage technology, Backup products, Agile methodology, Container technology
