Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Solution architect, you will apply your deep expertise in engaging with top technology architects in Global Systems Integrators that work with IBM. Aside from partner facing role, you will apply your deep domain expertise to propose and build innovative and repeatable offerings for GSI that are powered by IBM products. In addition, will apply your deep domain expertise across the entire IBM portfolio , identify gaps and work with product teams to build solutions that partners can take to market. You will also work in the area of modern application architectures. You will be involved in discussions around Enterprise Application solutioning, Application Modernization using newest technologies such as Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes etc.

As an Solution Architect for Global Systems Integrator Labs, you will

• Influence technical experts in Global Systems Integrators to adopt IBM Software
• Deliver strategy and technical overviews on IBM Software portfolio
• Suggest new solution offerings using IBM Software portfolio including IBM Cloud or AI
• Work with IBM product teams to understand and influence roadmaps and provide feedback from partners
• Build/maintain direct relationships with technical and business partners
• Identify/nurture/progress potential IBM opportunities with System Integrators teams and align initiatives and support model to convert the opportunities into deals.
• Aggressively engage in /propose Proof of concept solutions, technical demonstration and value proposition discussions on new /emerging capabilities within IBM portfolio.
• Understand SI’s offerings/solutions which could leverage IBM for Go-to-Market and demonstrate the IBM Alliance ecosystem to strategically align and support such initiatives.
• Lead and work with the SI teams on responding to RFPs/RFIs.
• Effectively communicate IBM proposal
• Identify gaps in SI teams and plan for delivering of Technical Enablement around IBM portfolio for SI Teams in the context of any initiatives/opportunities IBM is driving.
• Understand IBM offerings and competitive offerings.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Overall 8+ years of relevant experience in one of the technology areas like Data/AI/Automation/AI Applications
• Deep expertise of 5+ years in implementing leading products from IBM like CloudPaks or related product
• Should have experience in Cloud (IBM or non-IBM Cloud).
• Hands on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, helm etc.
• Should have led architecture for proposals.
• Expertise of leading and managing a team of expert architects
• Excellent Communication, customer facing and technical leadership skills
• Ability to pick up new areas like AI and work hands on in developing proof of concepts
• Able to provide technical guidance to a team of lesser experienced professionals

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Exposure to mutilple technologies
• Exposure to machine learning, data science or blockchain
• Exposure to areas like new solution innovation and pre-sales
