Your Role and Responsibilities

Advice on Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) : Technical Specialists who are part of Support typically have responsibility for sizing, troubleshooting, and critical client situations. In this Security job role they have expertise in analyzing and translating business requirements into control objectives, design security controls and implement them along with a security management cycle. They serve as a point of contact between the client and IBM for operational governance security services activities and deliverables. Primary functions include governance, oversight, and leadership for operational security activities, change requests, tuning and SLA/Service Quality metrics.

In this role they will research emerging security trends and technologies, identify business and technical requirements, perform technical evaluation and support deployment of global security solutions through agile execution. Design & Manage Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) :Responsibilities may include leading the deployment / implementation / management of Usecases / devices and practices. Their sphere of responsibility may range from a single client account to multiple clients. They provide subject matter expertise in specific areas such as incident management include coordinating resources and actions to determine root cause for incident. They plan and coordinate teams to expedite technical recovery requirements necessary to correct major security incidents. They coordinate real time communication to IBM Management and Clients detailing specific recovery actions, plans, and near real-time statuses.

Security Specialists assist in finding the proper balance between enabling and securing in relation to the client’s organization, culture and ecosystem. Typical examples of the deliverables include asset classification models, risk analysis reports, information security policies, security solution scenarios, implementation plans, organization models, procedures, security services, security effectiveness evaluation reports and security awareness workshops. In this role specialty, the Security Specialist has expertise in the Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) Security products.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 4 years of experience in managing SIEM products like Arcsight, Qradar, RSA NetWitness Suite, Splunk, LogRythym

• Proven expertise of Security Operations (L2/L3) Analyst in Infrastructure Security Services domain

• Ability to resolve issues pertaining to security solutions implemented at client locations

• Willingness to work in 24*7 environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Working knowledge about Risk, Incident and Change Management

• Experience on Security standard methodologies and regulations

• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies

• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work

• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management

• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
