Your Role and Responsibilities
As WAS (WebSphere) admin you will be involved in managing activities such as WebSphere Application Support, Maintenance and Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Problem Determination, Performance Tuning, and compliance

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installing and configuring WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• Responsible for installing and configuring WebSphere Plugin.
• Responsible for installing and configuring WebSphere HTTP Server.
• Deploying applications.
• Perform L2 problem determination and problem resolution on in scope software
• Perform root cause analysis of in scope software outages
• Responsible for security and certificates management and updates across multiple servers
• Administering and Troubleshooting Portal issues.
• Researching and implementation of Connections installation in stand-alone and clustered environments.
• Involved in implementation of WI LDAP on clustered environments.
• Perform in scope product log file rotation, pruning, and archiving Execute changes off-hours.
• Maintain Operational Procedures documentation for middleware operations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Good Experiences in WAS Administration skills
• Basic Security knowledge like vulnerabilities scan, patching, antivirus
• Proven communication in English
• Basic computer network understanding
• Exposure in Scripting
• Any other middleware knowledge is a plus (Apache, SSH, DBMS, etc)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• This role will require you to be hands on technical.
• This role will require you work both as individual contributor or in a team of experienced Application Server Administrators and support 24X7X365 operations, as the requirement may be.
• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot application server configuration and performance.
• Timely security patching and applying support fixes as required.
• Role management and User administration.
• Space administration on application servers.
• At least 2 years of experience in automation (ansible/shell, Perl/python).
