Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Developer, you will collaborate with developers, testers, technical writers, and architects. You may collaborate with designers in applying IBM’s design thinking methodology in software design based upon requirements gathered from stakeholders and Sponsor Users.

The Z Dev Ops development team helps enterprise clients accelerate the modernization of mission-critical applications. IBM Z offers an enterprise-wide standard toolchain as well as automation across the development lifecycle. The new IBM z15™ platform delivers exceptional security and resiliency for operations across the hybrid cloud.

The Wazi as a Service team’s mission is to develop a cloud native DevOps solution which provides development and test capabilities for z/OS applications in IBM Cloud. As part of the IBM Z Systems group, you will join our mission and commitment in delivering state of the art software technology in our modern tools platform for working with large scale enterprise systems that power 90% of the top 100 banks globally and are used by over 90% of all Fortune 500 companies today.

We are seeking experienced Software Developers who are skilled in Java and/or C/C++. Having mainframe development experience or a passion to learn about mainframe technology is a plus. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has that insatiable technical curiosity that drives them to dig deeply, learn, and expand their horizons. This person must be driven and technically prepared to join our high-performance team where you will be delivering state of the art software to our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java or object-oriented programming language
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Eclipse
• A minimum of 2 years React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of Linux operating system
• Demonstrated experienced leading or strongly contributing to projects
• Demonstrated experience in solving problems, debugging, developing code features, unit testing/automation
• Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of a global team, as well as working independently and taking ownership
• Experience with any of the following:
  • Developing modern web frameworks
  • Building restful APIs and Web services
  • Working with relational databases
  • Agile principles and executing Agile methods
  • Cloud-hosting solutions and CI/CD pipeline tools

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Development tools: Git, Jira
• Knowledge of z/OS or Mainframe
• WebSphere Liberty
