Your Role and Responsibilities

Who you are:

In this role, you will be part of the z/OS Connect product development team in India Systems Development Lab, working closely with a global development team. As part of this role, candidate can apply deep technical skills in Java/ J2EE domain for the development and implementation of complex software solutions. He / she will also be able to develop and automate customer centric use cases and end-to-end integration tests. He / she will be part of a highly skilled, friendly and innovative global team. He / she will have opportunities to contribute to IBM’s intellectual property portfolio. Candidate can grow further into development specialist, lead and architect

What you’ll do:

Employees in this role creates /uses design specification to implement the identified components. They also ensure that the code is implemented , unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product. Software developers also provide fixes to defects identified by the verification team during the software development life cycle or by customers. They are also responsible for development / automation of test cases and end-to-end integration tests. Employees focus on individual/team objectives and development of professional effectiveness.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Computer Programming in Java, Java EE, Java based front end technologies (REACT, Redux, Carbon, JS)

• Software problem solving and diagnostic skills

• Experience of Agile and DevOps development techniques

• Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally

• An eagerness to learn and exploit new technologies and computer languages”

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience of working with z/OS

• Experience of working with open source projects

• Presentation skills and the ability to share knowledge

• Experience using source control management systems”
