Role: Senior Manager Underwriting
Teams Size: up to 10
Purpose: To underwrite, and manage underwriting for a business channel with efficiency, in a risk calibrated. The role holder also strives to implement best in class processes & systems and provide a seamless risk calibrated underwriting experience.
:
Medical and financial underwriting of life, health and group insurance proposals
Enhance underwriting processes to bring in operational efficiency, improve accuracy and productivity. Drive KPIs like improvement in Issuance Percentage, Reduction in additional requirement, minimising revenue leakages & improvement in overall quality of business
Balance the expectations of sales channels along with functional and organizational needs of risk management and mitigation without impacting the business goals
To handle the dynamism arising in view of seasonal business peaks and also unpredictable regulatory & sales behaviours
Manage relationship with reinsurer, Operations & other internal teams and strike a good balance of risk and customer convenience
Engage with internal and external partners to prevent various kind of frauds that are prevalent in the marketplace
Minimise Risk leakages through both automated as well as the manual underwriting by constant vigilance & update of all the related micro processes
Experience:
A minimum of 5 – 8 years experience in medical, financial underwriting of life insurance proposals
Handling a team of underwriting specialists
Managing business stakeholders to drive operational and strategic objectives
