Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team as a Deputy Vice President (DVP) or Vice President (VP). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of ECM professionals, overseeing the execution of Mainboard IPOs and other capital market transactions. This role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, strong leadership skills, and the ability to independently manage end-to-end transaction processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Execution:
• Lead the end-to-end execution of Mainboard IPOs, including due diligence, regulatory filings, roadshows, book building, and listing processes.
• Manage the execution of other ECM transactions such as Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs), Rights Issues, Follow-on Public Offerings (FPOs), and other equity-related fundraising activities.
• Liaise with regulators, stock exchanges, legal advisors, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution.
• Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ECM professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Provide guidance and support to team members in the preparation of pitchbooks, financial models, investor presentations, and transaction documentation.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support the professional development of team members.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and other market participants.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the transaction process.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on equity capital raising options, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
• Market Intelligence and Strategy:
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments affecting the equity capital markets.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management and clients on potential market opportunities and risks.
• Contribute to the development of ECM strategies and business plans in line with the overall goals of the organization.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure all ECM transactions comply with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with transactions and maintain a strong focus on ethical standards and integrity.

Qualifications And Experience

• MBA, CFA, CA, or equivalent advanced degree in finance, business, or related field.
• A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in equity capital markets, investment banking, or a related field, with a proven track record in managing IPOs and other ECM transactions.
• Strong understanding of SEBI regulations, stock exchange requirements, and the overall IPO process.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team of professionals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
