IHS Markit is looking for a full-time Senior Research Analyst for its automotive Supply Chain & Technology (SCT) team. The role includes qualitative research, data research, backend data management, and project workflow management for the SCT’s Autotech Startups Service. Besides your individual contribution in data research, you will be managing the workflow for the project and liaise with data visualization team for the analytics platform. The Autotech Startup Service offers interactive company profiles and analytics on technology startups globally. The target customers of this service are automotive OEMs, suppliers, PE/VC firms, Investment Banks, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform qualitative and quantitative research to gather intelligence on Autotech startups around the world.

• Process and upload data into input files for Analytics dashboard and for company profiles.

• Capture developments at startups on a daily basis and update the required fields in the database

• Plan and execute periodic projects for expansion of the database and to review data quality to keep profiles and analytics up to date.

• Liaise with data visualization team for building, expanding and maintenance of Analytics dashboard

• You will be the SPOC for addressing all internal and external queries and ensure timely resolution of issues.

• Work with the project manager on all deliverables, collaterals for product launch and marketing

• Perform product demo to internal sales, prospective and existing customers along with your project manager

• Assist your project manager in investigating new customer needs and make appropriate recommendations for product enhancements.

• Train and mentor new colleagues and create docs for best practices, product field definitions.

Skills & Education:

• 4-5 years’ work experience as a Research Analyst in a data company, market research or consulting firm; preferably in automotive domain.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint

• Ability to collect, organize, analyse and upload large amount of data with attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills. Ability to deliver results in fast-paced work environment, prioritize assignments and manage multiple client requests.

• Ability to deliver desired results with minimum supervision.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Degree/diploma in Data Analytics will be a plus.
