Role Description
Responsibiliies
Complete support of Citrix Infrastructure including PVSCapable of handling User BAU tasks as well as Priority tickets and providing RCA.Install, test, evaluate, and integrate applications/3rd party products and Desktops in Citrix XenDesktop 7.x environment based on customer requirementManage and maintain Windows servers, operating systems, network configurations, and software applicationsPlan, install, and configure large deployments of Windows ServerMonitor and Resolve Windows server issues; provide timely response to customer escalations.Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.Execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.Deployment of MS security hotfixesAdherence to the patch management procedure for applying patches on the serverTroubleshoot and resolve complex problemsProvisioning of new servers as and when requiredHandling IIS related issues, RDP issuesCapacity management (Out of disk/Memory/CPU related issues)Should be comfortable for 24*7 shift.Must have ITIL Knowledge.
Technical Skills
Good Understanding of Citrix Architecture 7.x., PVS, Profile Management g of Citrix Netscaller, Citrix Policies.Storefront installation/management for XenApp, XenDesktop.Configuring load balancer for Applications as well as for serverInstall, test, evaluate, and integrate applications/3rd party products and Desktops in Citrix XenDesktop 7.x environment based on customer requirementMust be capable for handling user normal and critical issue.Must have experience on PowerShell.Knowledge on Citrix Director Tool, reports and maintenance.Excellent knowledge on Citrix Xen App Xen Desktop patch management and best practicesUnderstanding of NetScaler features and deployment scenarios.Windows server administration skills across all operating system versions; in particular Server 2003, 2008 and server 2012Knowledge of Clustering ,failover and NLB,Technical understanding of AD tools and resource kit tools, Software, service pack installation. Server patching.Advance knowledge on Virtualization (Hyper-V)/replication, Hyper-V clustering, Hyper-V live migration, commissioning of new guests, add/remove hardware or increase the disk space etc.Knowledge on Setup and Configuration of AVAMAR Backup tools & troubleshooting
Nice to have
Understand the concepts of Active Directory / DNS / DHCPUnderstand the concepts of Hypervisor VMware.Knowledge of SCOM and SCCM, storage architecture and connectivity option such as ISCSI, FC.Knowledge of RAID groups.
