Role Description
Role Description: Java Cloud Developer
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology developer with experience in developing scalable applications and platforms. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. The person should be a self-motivated person with a passion for problem solving and continuous learning.
Role and responsibilities

• Collect requirements, design, develop and test software code.
• Fix bugs and provide production support.
• Prioritize across multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Learn new technologies outside his/her primary skills.
• Develop solutions to challenging problems.
• Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.

Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

• Good understanding and experience on developing end to end scalable and distributed Cloud applications
• Strong computer science fundamentals, and algorithms
• Hands on deep expertise on Java with Hibernate.
• Solid and proved past experience in SaaS Application development and design
• Experience with designing and building production grade solutions using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, ELB, Route53, Cloud watch, MultiAZ, VPC, IAM etc.
• Expertise in loosely coupled design, Micro-services development, Docker, Message queues and containerized applications deployment using technologies like RESTful services, Message Queues, and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline with detailed understanding of Git, Jenkins, Artifactory and Terraform.
• Experience working with SQL Databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Good familiarity with Linux operating system
• Understanding and awareness of Secure software development lifecycle
• Test Driven Development (TDD) mindset and orientation of 100% test automation

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience/ Knowledge in Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and frontend frameworks React and Angular
• Knowledge Java Web is an advantage
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Background knowledge of software security principles
• Solid understanding of networking & related trouble-shooting of web-based applications & APIs

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of work experience in Java application development
• B.Tech., M.Tech. or MCA degree from a reputed university
