Job Description

Role Description: Technical Lead (Mechanical Engineer with focus on product design and development)

• Design of Industrial Connectors and accessories, housing, casings, terminal designs, Patch panels, Splitter Cassettes and its interfaces using 3D CAD tools such as Solid Edge, Solid Works.
• Conception, development and construction of sophisticated mechanical components, assemblies and housings.
• Perform and apply GD&T, Tolerance analysis, Dimensional Variation studies.
• Evaluation of design for DFM and Production Engineering processes such as injection molding, die-casting, Assembly, Manufacturing ease etc.
• Independently developing innovative solutions in accordance with the specifications taking into consideration required Product approval tests and Regional / Regulatory standards
• Developing of the technical data for the creation of the product specifications, catalogue details and qualifications / release of first samples.
• Technical support of the product management to client requests and developing customer specific solution approaches.
• Preparing and releasing Design documents for production (2D-drawings and parts lists, BoM etc)
• Identify failure mode and Evaluation with the help of Quality tools – RCA, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto etc.
• Implementation and documentation of development activities according to the product development process (V-model, project journal, etc.)
• Develop and control the schedule and direct the work to effectively manage time.
• Monitor progress & achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development & support activities.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with application of various testing & Validation methods
• Knowledge of Environmental Compliances like, ROHS and REACH
• Awareness of working with PLM tool and part library management.- Windchill, TeamCenter, etc
• CAD/CAE tools – Solid Works Preferred.
• Safe handling with IT systems (SAP, MS Office)
• Material skills in the area of plastics and metals including molding and die-casting

Soft skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Team player with highly effective interpersonal and collaboration skills

Required Qualifications

BE / B Tech / M Tech in Mechanical, Production, Instrumentation, Automobile
