Job Purpose
The role of a compliance manager is to ensure that the company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. They are also responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects, at all levels (including contractual employees / third party employees and as Principal Employer), as well as responsible for providing guidance on all compliance matters.
Job Outline
The incumbent is responsible for all activities which are under the labor law and scrutinized by the Government. The incumbent needs to be well versed with laws at both the campus locations. The incumbent will design and monitor control systems that deal with violations and legal issues. In addition, s/he is accountable for reviewing and evaluating company practices and reports. The job shall include:
– Work with HR leadership to develop and update HR policies and procedures.
– Communicate policy changes to relevant stakeholders and ensure understanding and adherence.
– Design and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on compliance related topics.
– Provide guidance to HR and management on compliance issues and best practices.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HR compliance activities.
– Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
– Conduct internal investigations into compliance concerns and employee relations matters.
– Collaborate with HR and management to address and resolve compliance issues.
– Establish metrics to monitor and report on HR compliance effectiveness.
– Produce regular reports for HR leadership and management on compliance-related activities.
– Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into business
– Work closely with HR, legal, and other departments to address compliance-related issues
– Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
– To carry out monthly checks of the contractors’ records to ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws
– Supervise the compliance team
Develops and directs strategies within the school’s framework that shall ensure that the School (Both Campuses) stand compliant.
The incumbent shall also contribute to attending legal matters from HR point of view in regards with the compliance of the School. It is also part of the HR compliance manager roles and responsibilities to assist the management in investigating any form of violation of the policy to unravel the root causes and patterns. The incumbent is also expected to provide recommendations on corrective policy and actions, as well as procedural changes that will prevent any reoccurrence.
The Compliance Manager is expected to provide a better valuation for the risk management policies along with the protocols to come up with policies and provide suggestions to avoid threats, reduce or transfer risk or Mitigate the effects of those which can’t be avoided. As part of the responsibility, he must manage the risks associated with our organization, customers, reputation, employees and interests of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Stay updated on the Regulatory changes and how the same impacts the School at both Campuses.
Conducting relevant awareness campaigns across the school.
Internal investigations to be conducted.
Conduct internal audits and report checks.
Team Supervision.
The incumbent should have an eye for detail and should be focused since this is a very critical role and has direct impact on the School.
