Indira Priyadarshini School Hiring for Kindergarten Teachers – Homeroom, Junior and Trainee at Bangalore Full Time

Indira Priyadarshini School, J. P. Nagar, is looking for both Homeroom as well as Junior/Trainee Teachers for Joy of Learning, our Early Learning Centre.

Candidates must have a love for children and should be passionate about their chosen field.

· Requirements:

• Female candidates only.
• Homeroom Teacher candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching Nursery to K2 (3 years to 5 years), and a Bachelor’s or PG degree in Early Childhood education.

• Junior/Trainee teachers must have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior work experience in a reputed preschool is desired, but not required.
• Candidates without a degree in ECE must be willing to obtain one within the first two years.
• In-depth knowledge of Early Childhood pedagogy and developmentally appropriate practices is a must for homeroom position.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are essential.

• Responsibilities:

• Specific duties and responsibilities of the Home Room Teacher will include, but will not be limited to the following:
• Designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and learning aids based on the IPS-JOL preschool curriculum.
• Providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and love of learning.
• Responsible for teaching whole group/small group classes, regular assessment and anecdotal observations, and maintaining discipline and order.
• Building and maintaining strong partnership with all parents.
• Ensuring strict adherence by junior and support staff to the School’s rules and values, safeguarding health and safety at all time.

• Home room teachers will mentor junior/trainee teachers as necessary, and guide them in lesson plan development, preparation of teaching aids, conducting assessment and events, as required.

• Familiarity with high-quality preschool curricula, such as Savvas Three Cheers /Scholastic Big Day/High-Scope is highly desired.

Junior/Trainee teachers will also have all of the above responsibilities. They will be guided in their tasks by senior staff as required.
