Your Role We at Innovaccer are looking for Site Reliability Engineer – II (Data Management) to build the most amazing product experience. You’ll get to work with other engineers to build a delightful feature experience to understand and solve our customer’s pain points.

A Day in the Life

• Responsible for setting up Snowflake account, deploying, maintaining, governance and operations on AWS/Azure Snowflake.
• Work with platform and customer engineering to gather business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Monitor the resource consumptions, cost, and take the effective measures for optimizations.
• Should be able to work on critical incidents and resolve them within SLA.
• Responsible for Data availability, Security and Performance.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and tune queries for better performance.
• Automate manual tasks and enable engineers to move fast without concern of losing data during their work.
• Assist Data engineers with Data ingestion, Processing and Analytics.
• Responsible for Allocation of virtual warehouses to various queries or users.
• Ensure availability of systems and progress towards high performance by analyzing the systems.

What You Need

• Work in a fast-paced environment with the agility to change directions as per business needs
• You should have 3+ years of experience with a start-up mentality in managing & troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Very good understanding of Snowflake architecture (warehouse, storage, etc.)
• Excellent Database/warehouse management skills (Snowflake, etc.)
• Knowledge on PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Very good understanding of data modelling, data warehouses, analytics, and data pipelines.
• Knowledge on recovery methods and development with time-travel of uploading.
• Integrating AWS services tech stacks with Snowflake cloud data platform.
• Experience with data loading from various sources into snowflake.
• Proficiency in database tuning, query tuning to ensure smooth data ingestion.
• Prior experience of traditional data-warehouse modelling is added advantage.
• Experience with Snowflake security, managing admin/user roles and privileges.
• Experience in one of the cloud technologies AWS/Azure is must.
• Ability to handle huge volumes of data loading and processing by writing efficient SQL.
