Responsibilities and Duties

· You will scrub as per standard protocol and assist operating surgeons in their surgeries.

· You will ensure cleanliness and sterilisation of the area. You will be personally responsible for sterility of the OT, dressings and other supplies used in the operation.

· You will arrange supplies required in the theatre in general and for scheduled surgery in particular.

· You will ensure proper positioning of the patient ensuring his/her safety.

· You will monitor vitals of the patient pre and post surgery.

· You will prepare the trolley after scrubbing and assist surgeon by passing on required instruments and cleaning the operative field.

· You will evaluate the patient after surgery in post-operative phase.

· To adhere to the “Surgical Checklist” as per WHO guidelines.

· You will ensure that all surgical count (abdominal swabs, instruments) are complete and correct before closure of the operation site.

· You will immediately bring to the notice of surgeon/anaesthetists and hospital administration of any adverse bacterological reports.

· You will be responsible for fumigation of OTs and maintaining records of bacteriological results of sterility checks.

· You will ensure documents of pre & post surgery is complete.

· You will follow ‘infection control policies’.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹25,000.00 – ₹30,000.00 per month
