IWMI, with support from the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC), is implementing the first phase of a multi-year, multi-country project titled ‘Solar Irrigation for Agricultural Resilience’ (SoLAR). This project is being carried out in four countries: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. The project will work closely with government partners to achieve its objectives.
The Project Coordinator will develop a full working knowledge of the SoLAR project and establish collaborative relationships with the project and support teams at IWMI HQ. The incumbent will closely collaborate with the RPL (Regional Project Leader) to oversee the coordination of SoLAR-related project activities and expenditures, ensuring the successful delivery of IWMI commitments as outlined in the project agreement, operational plan, and budget. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with research and operational teams to monitor implementation progress and adaptively coordinate project activities and resource allocation in alignment with goals and targets. As the day-to-day contact, the incumbent will facilitate effective communication and decision-making in collaboration with the RPL, IWMI HQ, and the India office.
