As our new Test Automation Engineer colleague, you will be exposed to various technologies like Python, Docker, K8s, AWS, Jenkins, Git, SQL. In this role you will be joining our Video Entertainment team. Conditional access remains key to what we do; from managing new technology implementations, combating online piracy, offering anti-cheat methods for gaming to supporting customers’ demand for high-quality multi-screen experiences Irdeto deliver to a global customer base.
As a Test Automation Engineer: What will my first technical challenge at Irdeto be? Ever considered being at the fore front of preventing media piracy? The watermarking team’s challenge is to uniquely watermark live and on-demand content that pinpoints piracy sources and enables direct disablement to disrupt pirate services during major events.

About the day-to-day job: Assess current QA strategy and provide solutions for improvements, together with other QA engineers and guide rest of the team in implementing the strategy and help them build an automation first attitude. As our new Test Automation Engineer colleague, you will be exposed to various technologies like Python, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Git, SQL.
Sounds good! What do I need to bring to the team?

• An obtained B.Tech, BSc / MSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar field.
• Solid experience in assessing software quality processes (test suite management, reporting, test automation, test execution, etc.) and how to translate that into an improvement plan
• Hands on experience with programming languages: C, C++ 11, Python.
• Good understanding of DVB/ MPEG Standards.
• Experience in cloud and deployment skills: AWS, Docker, K8s.
• Skilled in testing projects based on domain like Video Streaming, OTT platform.
• Solid understanding of development tools such as Git, GitLab, GitLab CI, Jenkins
• Well versed with Test processes, test planning and test designing.
• Involved in understanding, reviewing and analysing the customer requirements and prepare the test design to meet the finalized requirements.
• Team player but able to work independently and remotely.
• Good Testing and Debugging skills.
• Proficient English communication skills

Nice to have:

• Video and Audio domain knowledge.
• Experience in testing Headend, Conditional Access (CA), Middleware and OTT solutions.
• Experience with networking technologies, protocols.
