What this job involves:
Role Purpose

The Senior Energy & Sustainability Analyst will join JLL’s Energy & Sustainability Centre of Excellence, to support the delivery of energy and sustainability products and services to a range of clients. These include:

Managing utility supplies and data gathering from a wide range of sources

Maintain completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting

Providing insights from utility data

Resolve utility account issues by working with utility companies and bill processing firms if part of account Statement of Work

Reporting – generate site and portfolio reports from data management systems regarding energy consumption and projected consumption based on conservation opportunities

Energy Analysis –analyse properties within the portfolio for trends and anomalies in energy consumption.

Sustainability Analysis – analyse waste, recycling and water trends.

Supporting energy managers with energy calculations

Participate in Energy Team process improvement projects

Assist with the generation of utility budgets

Key responsibilities include:
Performing data analysis and calculations to produce monthly, quarterly and annual energy, environmental and sustainability reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Maintaining completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.

Identifying anomalies and perform gap analysis of the energy & sustainability data and work with client to include corrective actions, including measures which improve the efficiency of data capture.

Performing utility review and resolving utility account issues by working with utility companies and bill processing firms.

Undertaking data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement, energy conservation opportunities, and potential cost reduction.

Providing support to the Energy & Sustainability Manager on each account to provide the necessary energy and sustainability metrics that are being tracked.

Preparing environmental reporting in accordance with globally recognised protocols, such as CDP and DJSI.

Provide support in creating and implementation of energy & sustainability management strategy

Requirements -Essential

University Degree

Proficient in using MS Excel, Access and SQL to combine and analyse data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics. Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting.

Experienced performing data analysis and identify the gaps and trends in data

Detail-oriented with excellent time management and follow-through.

Basic understanding of HVAC and building energy systems

Has experience running Green House Gas Emission calculations

Familiarity with sustainability related certification and benchmarking tools

Ability to communicate effectively and provide detailed or brief explanation of the data analysis results

Understand the client’s energy & sustainability goals and provide support in implementation of the program to reach those goals

Requirements – Desirable

Technical understanding of the most common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems

In-depth understanding of energy and water conservation measures

Experienced with benchmarking and analysing utility data to drive sustainability measures

In-depth understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting

Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus

Ability to communicate directly with the client and manage expectations

Ability to develop an energy & sustainability program
