Storage Administrator – 5 to 8yrs – Bangalore/Mumbai

What you will be doing

Completes backup and recovery, data migration, storage allocation, connectivity and storage reporting requests.

Creates, removes and expands file systems and volumes.

Provides SAN switch / director monitoring, configuration and support.

Works with senior peers to develop change management procedures.

Creates and maintains documentation.

Creates investment proposals and presents concepts during team meetings.

Provides assistance with system solution design.

May require rotating 24×7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support.

Some travel is required.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring

Overall of 4+ yrs of Experience on IBM and Netapp/EMC

Hands on experience of IBM storwise and EMC storage devices administrative task (Creation of LUN/Deletion/Map/Unmap/Flash copy/Trouble shooting, Etc)

Hands on experience of Brocade and Cisco SAN switches (to check port connectivity/ Zoning (creation/edit/removal)/ISL Truncating)

Troubleshooting the performance issues on Storage/SAN switch devices.

Guiding/Training L1 engineers to perform the basic activities (health checks / Information sharing .. Etc)

New storage/SAN switch devices procurement, Installation and configuration.

Storage/SAN switch devices decommissioning.

Hands on experience of Storage and SAN switch devices storage code upgradation.

Good knowledge on ITIL process management.

Good Skills on Storage performance analysis.

Good working knowledge on process & SOP’s documentation.
