Centralized Research Group (CRG) is a part of JPMorgan Investment Banking business. We work closely with the firm’s Investment Banking teams across the globe in preparing pitch books & marketing materials that the senior client bankers take to their clients during meetings. These books can relate to mergers & acquisitions, equity capital raising or debt capital raising

Data Analyst – Centre of Excellence

Join our global investment banking team and help our senior bankers serve clients. As an Analyst you will work closely with Investment Bankers and partner with the firm’s Digital Investment Banking (DIB) to maintain and update Digital Investment Banking platforms and datasets. These platforms and products are used by bankers to derive critical analytics for marketing and executing mergers and acquisitions or capital markets transactions.

Roles and responsibilities

The Analyst’s main responsibilities will include but not limited to the responsibility below. You will also Partner with Digital Investment Banking team as well as associates and analysts in CRG and across regional locations to update DIB platforms

• Updating comparable transactions Work on spreading transaction comps on Digital Investment Banking platforms for M&A transactions across all sectors and all regions to be used in precedent transaction analysis.
• Updating trading comparables Work on spreading trading comparables on Digital Investment Banking platforms for companies across all sectors and all regions.
• Updating metrics on historical comparable transactions for both equity capital markets and debt capital markets on Digital Investment Banking platforms to be used in client materials.

General Research

Source and interpret company & industry information from a variety of data sources (company reports, Internet, online databases, JPMorgan proprietary content) with an aim to forming views on the industry, key trends and individual companies. Summarize and synthesize news updates/research reports on priority clients, weekly industry reports.

Essential skills / qualifications

• Relevant professional experience will be positive
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
• Proficiency in spreading out trading/transaction comps
• Knowledge of analyzing company financials and market updates
• Strong analytical bend of mind and expert handling of excel
• Excellent academic record
• Close attention to detail and ability to deliver output of a very high standard
• Good communication skills
• Ability to deliver quality under pressure
