Role Description
Ops tester will be will be responsible to understand the customer journeys process defined by the design team, familiarize with the build and draft the test plan (scenarios, scripts and executions) to test the feature/functionalities delivered as part of the process. The role involves to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders to prep prior to testing and document the results/findings post testing.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the design team to understand the process
Define the test scenarios / scripts and plan for testing
Create the test plan in JIRA and add executions
Co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders to prep for testing
Hands-on executions of test scenarios and validate the results
Raise defects if any and follow up until closure
Maintain a defect tracker for all the bugs/defects identified as part of the testing
Document the results and update the reporting
Reporting of the test results and findings
Documentation of the overall test results and findings
Attend daily stand-up and update meetings as relevant
Conduct and execute peer reviews for the scripts written and most of the test documentation
Conduct Sanity testing and Smoke testing
Administer and manage the JIRA updates and confluence pages
Experience & Skills:
Full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and well verse with Full Testing Lifecycle, SAFe Agile knowledge
Experience in performing operational testing
Extensive experience in writing test cases, developing and maintaining test scripts
Diverse work experience in System Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Functionality Testing, GUI Testing, Exploratory Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Compatibility testing, Validation testing, Accessibility testing
Experience in using JIRA, Confluence,
Good knowledge on volume, manual testing (operational)
Extensive Financial Testing, Payments Testing, Web Testing, BACS, Direct debit testing Business operations testing
Production of the Test Plan and weekly status reports; and adhering to strict Test Governance rules to allow for full traceability
Experience of leading and handling multiple projects under tight deadlines
Hands on experience in creating bug reports, participating in Bug review meetings, coordinating with development team in bug fixation, Tracking Bug Reports using Bug tracking Tools for business software and web applications
Expertise in Problem solving, excellent communicator and decision making skills
Good interpersonal skills, committed, result oriented, hard working with a quest and zeal to learn new technologies and always been a good team player
Qualification:
Graduate / post graduate specialized in finance
Experience in retail banking
Around 6-8 yrs of overall experience with minimum of 3-5 yrs of Testing experience
