Role Summary: The Project Director or Country Head for Oil & Gas (Cross country pipelines and Process Plants) in Saudi Arabia is responsible for leading and overseeing all operations, business development, and strategic initiatives within the country. This includes managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving growth and profitability in the market. Key responsibilities also include leading a team, developing and executing business plans, and representing the company in the local industry and community.
Area of Responsibility:
§ Lead the Execution of capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget.
§ Plan project execution, revenue, billing and collection for the project on monthly basis.
§ Monitor budget, performance, cash in-flow to avoid or arrest adverse variance during execution.
§ Achieve target progress within budgeted cost for the quarter/year.
§ Explore enhanced profitability by introduction of innovation, strategize
§ Motivate and manage site personnel.
§ Work with Contract and Claims department to raise additional justifiable claims.
§ Contractual correspondence with client & consultants.
§ Plan, estimate site infrastructure & ensure resource mobilization and monitor its effective usage.
§ To support Business Development and Bidding team in Saudi Arabia
§ Ensure adherence to standards, Kalpataru code of conduct (KCoC), KPIL values, ABAC, SOPs established by the company.
Competencies:
§ Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian oil and gas industry: Understanding of the regulatory environment, market dynamics, and key players in the Saudi oil and gas industry specifically cross country pipeline business.
§ Project management skills: Ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage cross country pipeline projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
§ Leadership and team management: Ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, including engineers and other professionals, to achieve project objectives.
§ Technical expertise: Extensive knowledge of oil and gas cross country pipeline businesses as well as the latest industry technologies and best practices.
§ Stakeholder engagement: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance with regulations.
§ Health, safety, and environmental management: Understanding of best practices for ensuring the safety of personnel and the protection of the environment in oil and gas cross-country pipeline operations.
§ Business acumen: Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Saudi oil and gas industry, as well as to negotiate contracts and manage client relationships.
§ Cultural awareness: Understanding of Saudi Arabian customs, traditions, and business etiquette.
Qualification:
§ B.E / B.Tech with 20 + years’ experience in cross-country pipeline in Middles East countries.
