Primary Responsibilities
Provides Operational support in the management of databases on which KNA’s applications store/retrieve data, troubleshooting and resolution to Incidents and Alerts, including escalation to provider as needed
The position requires availability for on-call rotation and to work outside regular business hours and on weekends.
Following and enforcing policies and procedures, Supports the deployment of code and execution of complex tasks on KNA databases, including but not limited to Application deployments, O/S and Databases engines patches and upgrades, Data refreshes in non-production environments, Security changes.
Provides Operational KPIs to management and Database engineering team
Maintain/upgrade DBA tools, and settings (directly or by request) of enterprise monitoring tools.
Uses/maintain documentation/runbooks related to periodical tasks, like: upgrades, environment refresh tool, security changes.
Engages and cooperates with the Database engineer team to improve processes and procedures
Where applicable, cooperates with Vendors to optimize their work in Kaplan.
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in the office

30-day notification period preferred

Minimum Qualifications
Level 3: 7 Years of support for at least 2 of these technologies
(Note: the technology requirement changes depending on open req and skill sets of existing personnel)
MSSQL (On-prem, Azure, AWS) and related tools
ORACLE (AWS)
MongoDB/DocumentDB (AWS RDS/Atlas)
PostgreSQL (AWS RDS)
MySQL (EC2, AWS RDS)
The position requires skills in at least 2 these technologies
PostgreSQL (AWS RDS)
MongoDB/DocumentDB (AWS RDS/Atlas)
Oracle (AWS RDS)
MSSQL Server (On-prem, Azure, AWS RDS, EC2) including
AlwaysOn Availability Groups
ETL
SSRS
SSIS
MySQL
SQL (based on each technology)
Strong working knowledge of optimization, troubleshooting and supporting of supported technology
Large high-availability production environment residing on Amazon RDS
Languages used to support automation, like Python and Powershell
Working knowledge of the platform supporting the technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge for MSFT Azure database technologies
Experience and comfort using both Linux and Windows.
Experience with Bash, Powershell, Python or comparable scripting languages.
Familiar with Agile methodologies, and use of tools like Google workspace, Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow
