Position Background:
Title: Asst. Manager – Sales Engineering (MSG)
[Designation will be decided keeping in view the experience of the shortlisted candidate & also the scope of the role]
Reporting to: Manager (Sales Engg. – VTL)
Location: Bangalore
Education & Relevant Experience (in brief):
BE (Mechanical / Industrial Production) with 10 to 12 years of experience / DME (Mechanical / Industrial Production) with 13 to 15 years of experience within the areas of – Pre-Sales and Sales Engineering / Process Engineering / Working on Tooled up Turning lathes, VTL proposals / Application engineering for Turning lathes / VTL Tooled-up machines.
Good knowledge on cutting tools, process engineering and metal cutting operations.
Process knowledge of Machining of component of industries like Energy/Pump & Valve/General Engineering/Automobile/Aerospace/Die & Mold/etc.
Good understanding of process and accuracies on component requirements.
Should be well conversant with Engineering and Customer component drawings and have good understanding of Machines / Fixtures / Machine sub-assemblies, etc;
Working knowledge of 2D-Autocad and 3D-Solidworks / Other software (preferred).
Should be able to work and prepare Component layouts, Tooling layouts, Fixture concepts, Machine concept layouts required for Techno commercial proposals.
Prepare the Techno commercial offer including the Time study, Fixture concept, Tool selection, pricing for VTL / cutting tools / accessories, accuracy analysis and commitment
Ensure timely submission of Techno-Commercial offers
Travel Pan India for Business Development of VTL Business
Techno – Commercial discussion with customer and order finalisation
Ability to understand customer’s Techno- commercial needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Good communication skills (Verbal & Written).
Good working experience in MS office (MS Word , MS Excel & MS Power point)
Key Responsibilities:
This position is for Sales engineering activity for Vertical Turning Lathes Business at Bangalore.
The purpose of this position is to understand the customer requirements and propose the optimal machine configuration and solutions, to meet customer requirement by proposing right processes, proper tool selections, cycle time estimation and prepare complete techno commercial offer for securing the customer orders.
Visit customers on Pan India basis for VTL business development and at the time of enquiries for understanding the requirements.
Travel to customer locations on weekly / biweekly basis.
Visit customers for techno-commercial discussions on machine and process proposals and order finalization.
Capture market feedback for product up-gradation/new developments, facilitate development of new products.
To Achieve / Exceed Allotted order Target
Prepare the Order hand over documents and arrange for the project kick off meeting with cross functional team members
Allocate the Budget in SAP
Ensure the ISO & SOX compliance
Interact with Tooling and Bought out part vendors for Techno-Commercial offers
