About the Opportunity
The Parks Team have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer – Contracts & Mowing services. As our new Project Officer – Contracts & Mowing services you will make a difference daily overseeing the mowing and reactive service program to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. Key responsibilities will include liaising and consulting with residents and key stakeholders to deliver asset management and routine maintenance activities, undertaking initial assessment of requests for work and arrange for temporary works if required, manage team leaders, staff and contractors to develop routine maintenance programs to meet specifications and monitor, program and audit works ensuring they are compliant with relevant Acts.
To be successful in this role you must hold the following qualifications:
Traffic Management Certificate
Working with Children Check
Agricultural Chemical Users Permit and Horticulture qualification (Certificate 3 and above) will be an advantage.
This is a full time permanent role based at our Operations Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.
This is a Band 6 classified role, remuneration will be $89,229.98 – $97,452.56 (depending on experience) plus 10% superannuation.
What you will need to thrive:
High level interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
Demonstrated open space maintenance and project management experience, including highly developed PC skills (word, excel and project) and an understanding of industry relevant technology and how it is applied.
Sound supervisory skills and the ability to motivate the field staff and contractors to achieve established standards of performance.
Sound understanding of Contract Management, conducting contract meetings, processing of payments, surveillance and the undertaking of performance audits.
Sound knowledge of the Road Management Act, OH&S and the Code of Practice for Traffic Management
Ensure customer requests are actioned in a timely and appropriate manner.
