KGS’ Deal Advisory & Strategy group is a team of over 900 professionals based in Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore.

KGS DA&S has been providing solutions to KPMG member firms globally. By leveraging insights and applying best practices, the team helps create customized approaches to M&A transactions. The team’s capabilities include Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Strategy, Business Modelling, Accounting Advisory Services, Deal Advisory Research and Benchmarking.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an experienced Associate Consultant in the Corporate Finance – Real Estate Valuation team. In this role, you will be expected to:

• Participate in the execution of real estate valuation engagements.
• Supervise the internal valuation support cycles for audit teams
• Interface with third party appraisal firms and advisors to engage and facilitate external valuations and reviews
• Support audit teams in responding to questions and providing supporting documentation for valuation parameters
• Perform analysis of general market conditions for real estate assets across different asset classes i.e. residential, office, retail, industrial, data centres etc.
• Produce and analyse financial models and assessing commercial data which underlie financial forecasts
• Responsible for execution of end-to-end engagements , perform audit reviews and appraising third-party valuation reports
• Be responsible for the high-quality timely delivery of projects by self
• Working closely with Managers/Senior Managers on client management, practice development, and business development activities
• Build strong brand equity with onshore stakeholder

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent academic background preferably with a degree in real estate, accounting, business, finance, economics or mathematics
• Ideally 1 – 2 years’ relevant valuation experience acquired with the valuation practice within an accounting and/or professional services firm
• Strong grasp of real assets valuation concepts; proficiency in business valuation is a plus
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and presentation/report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers
• A self-motivated individual, who understands challenges within a real estate valuation context and is able to operate within a team environment
• Ability to work independently and develop good relationships with senior management and Partners, and operate well within a team environment
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
• Ability to multi-task and handle pressure situations
