As one of fastest growing practice in DA&S, Infrastructure and Climate Advisory (ICA) team at KGS invites like-minded professionals to help us drive progress and change. At KGS ICA practice, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist public and private sector organizations involved in infrastructure to deliver desired outcomes, whether for society or for businesses. We are the Centre of Excellence for KPMG’s Global practices, helping our clients better understand evolving policy and regulatory environment, business and commercial risks, as well as providing commercial and strategic advice on complex infrastructure and capital projects. You will work on wide range of infrastructure sectors including transport, energy, digital, real estate as well as social infrastructure, with diverse clientage such as public sector entities, infrastructure owners, project developers, large corporates, contractors, equity investors and financers. The role will be based out of KPMG’s Gurugram and Mumbai offices and liaise cross-functionally with leaders across the business to drive internal and external engagement.

Roles & responsibilities :

Working as a member of the team your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, th e following:

1. Delivering Client Engagements:

• Supporting in delivering commercial and market reviews, strategic studies, and business plan reviews for government and corporate clients
• Driving the design of commercial and financial analysis e.g. market analysis, business model analysis, business case development, socio-economic analysis and VfM analysis
• Supporting in the real estate valuation studies
• Being actively involved in structuring the client outputs and its delivery
• Securing additional work for the current engagement or for related opportunities
• Contributing to thought leadership, white papers and point of views to develop market intelligence and sector knowledge
• Structure and storyboard on tasks related to data gathering, mining, benchmarking, leading best practices, and analysis
• Actively supporting the practice development by building and managing the relationships and interacting with stakeholders across various KPMG member firms

2. Stakeholder management:

• Actively building and managing the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionals
• Supporting KPMG onshore teams on initiatives including preparation of proposals and expressions of interest

This role is for you if you have the below:

Educational qualifications: MBAs, CA, CFA, Urban planners and Engineers from a leading Indian/International educational institution

Work experience:

Prior Experience:

• Relevant experience (3-5 years) in strategy gained through strategic and management consulting
• Understanding of the real estate DCF valuation, review of portfolio companies’ valuations, feasibility studies, highest and best use cases, portfolio strategies, company strategies, financial modeling, procurement lifecycle and PPP strategy

Ideal candidate would

• Have exposure to strategy/consulting frameworks
• Have experience of or exposure of working on Real Estate sector. Added advantage to have exposure to Social Infrastructure, Urban development and Municipalities
• Understand Financial analysis and interpretation
• Have strong market research skills which require understanding of underlying drivers of growth and factors influencing demand and supply, etc.
• Have strong report and proposal writing skills; ability to effectively synthesize information and bring out the essence of a paragraph, and build a clear storyline
• Have strong secondary research skills, familiarity of handling large datasets extracted from open sources, public agencies, databases, etc.
• Have commercial awareness
• Have strong analytical skills and strong written, communication and presentation skills
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Projects)
• Have creativity in pictorial representation of data, preparing decks for client presentations
• Have familiarity with data visualization tools
