The Role

Supports internal and external clients with sourcing and delivery needs. Requires knowledge of end to end sourcing and procurement practices of commodity sourcing.

This role involves leading the Technology Products and Maintenance, Telecom Category Sourcing Team, negotiating Contracts and supporting Engagement deals for the ASEAN Region. The professional must understand external market and category variables, learn the internal landscape of our Client (requirements, priorities) and successfully develop client / supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement sourcing strategies for the Category utilizing various value levers that deliver improved cost, reduced risk and more efficient programs for internal stakeholders.
• Lead the engagement deals for ASEAN driving cost savings to support the Business in winning the deals
• Provide guidance to the team as a Contract negotiator or specialist and step in for complex Contract negotiations.
• Lead effective negotiations with our Suppliers as a part of a sourcing event/request for proposal (RFP) process
• Successfully build relationships with stakeholders by issuing prompt responses to client communication.
• Demonstrate value by becoming a trusted advisor, lead negotiator and SME in the areas of sourcing and negotiations.
• Recommend diverse, disadvantaged, veteran and small businesses where possible.
• Collect market intelligence and analyze client data, metrics and reports to make recommendations for areas of improvement or to drive increased efficiency / performance.
• Participate in supplier/client business reviews to support collaboration, knowledge sharing, opportunity identification and overall relationship development.
• Ensure seamless handoff to our Clients when appropriate.

Technical Expertise:

• Prior experience in Software Sourcing is preferred
• Should have good understanding of the licensing aspects in the Contract
• Good understanding of the Software Supplier landscape

Who You Are

This Role requires 8+ years or more of Procurement experience, preferably with 6+ years of strategic sourcing experience.

• Prefer previous experience with eSourcing tools (Ariba, etc) is preferred
• Legal background is preferred

Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Engineering/Commerce, Supply Chain Management/legal or another applicable field.
