Your Role and Responsibilities

Beginner knowledge and experience in managing an enterprise server operations environment including underlying hardware. Familiar with operating systems’ support within Linux or UNIX. History with managing ticket queues, user escalations and assisting with outages. Experience with submitting and escalating hardware maintenance requests with vendors. Has worked with a diverse set of applications sharing a complex infrastructure. Ability to work user requests, change requests, incident tickets and outages. Self-starter at managing multiple tasks and responsibilities surrounding the server operations. Demonstrates a sense of ownership, pride and responsibility of the assigned servers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Good Experience in RHEL 6/7/8 Linux administration, performance tuning and support experienceExperience with configuring Red Hat Satellite, Kickstart servers, Identity ManagementPerform OS upgrades and patch installationsBasic Shell scripting (bash)User & Group and LVM administration in RHEL6/7/8Understanding of Yum and RPM and how to create application repositories and synchronization of application reposAbility to provision bare metal installs, configure, operate and maintain systemsExperience with monitoring tools such as Tivoli Monitoring, Splunk
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Experience using agile delivery methods –
Good communication skills, able to articulate complex technologies to project managers and customer technical enterprise teams
Storage – Understanding of concepts and requirements of Business Continuity (Disaster Recover, Backup) – Strong Organisational skills and able to work without supervisio
