Your Role and Responsibilities

Ansible Automation Engineer has work on IT automation engine that automates cloud provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, intra-service orchestration, and many other IT needs. This is an opportunity to join a passionate and dynamic team, as a Ansible Automation Engineer and Developer.

• The role of Ansible Automation Engineer Develop Ansible playbooks and modules.

• Ability to work with production support – 24/7.

• Design, install and maintain Linux systems equipment.

• Hands-on administration and operation of scalable IT infrastructures on both VMware and physical environments.

• Install and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment.

• Provide technical support to concerning automation solution usage.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.

• Administer Ansible infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support.

• Update system and process documentation and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as needed.

• Work collaboratively with the BAU team to create and deploy Ansible solutions for infrastructure environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Responsibilities of Ansible Automation Engineer Maintaining our own infrastructure (both Unix & Windows)

• Automation of business processes and software deployment/configuration through a variety of frameworks, development languages and tools (python/ java script /bash, etc.)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Design, install and maintain Linux systems equipment.

• Hands-on administration and operation of scalable IT infrastructures on both VMware and physical environments.

• Install and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment.

• Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side issues as they arise.

• Perform OS and application upgrades and server migrations to new environment.

• Maintain security and OS patch management for Linux based systems.

• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service.

• Perform complex network support tasks with minimum guidance.

• Maintain and provide software and hardware support for Contour and its Clients.

• Maintain and provide support for network file servers.

• Maintain and provide support for Linux operating systems.

• Maintain and provide backups for all servers and applications.

• Comply with all IT and Information Security policies and procedures; respond to audit requests.

• Provide 24×7 support for production, customer-facing systems

• Evaluate hardware and software for a large complex network.

• Assist in preparing and presenting information to management recommending purchase of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment.

• Perform other job-related duties as required.

• Ability to interact with all levels of employees.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
