Your Role and Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and defect analysis of LAN/WAN/ISDN/MPLS/firewall/VPN issues.

• Document network problems and resolution for future reference into the Wiki/KB platform of NPCI.

• Incident should be close within TAT.

• Proactively monitor and ensure network availability, performance, and network security.

• Log, track and take ownership of network/connectivity issues and resolve issues to ensure

• uptime and meet the agreed SLA.

• Monitor and ensure network device connectivity across DC and MPLS Networks as per the pre-defined SLA.

• Working knowledge of common network monitoring tools and network analysers (ex. Tcpdump, tshark, wireshark etc).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, NAT, IP addressing and TCP/IP Network (Skills).

• A practical level of experience implementing and administrating TCP/IP-based network.

• Hands on experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN,TCP/IP, DNS, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN and MPLS.

• Troubleshooting focused on determining network vs Application/System issues and patterned vs. non-repeating problems.

• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
