Your Role and Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will be a member on the Global Infrastructure Network Operate quad. This person will be responsible for network operations and infrastructure services regionally and globally. As a part of the Network Team, Your responsibilities will include day to day tickets and support, participation in on-call rotation, and documentation.Responsibilities. Implementing changes to the application architectureExpanding/extending network capabilitiesAdding locations/users to the networkMigrating workloads into ACI fabricConfigure ACI multi-site with deployed fabricsIn-depth knowledge of and experience with major network protocols and technologies including BGP, OSPF, MP-BGP EVPN, VXLAN and VPC.Experience with design and implementing SDN – Software Defined Network / SDDC – Software Defined Data Center environments. Experience with design and implementation of large complex Cisco ACI – Application Centric Infrastructure nodeData Center experience (Nexus, Routing + Switching)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience in Tejas TJ1500 , TJ 1600 including TejNMS

Experience in Other OEM for DWDM, SDH, Ethernet & OTN and their respective OEM’s NMS. Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting MPLS and local infrastructure

Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness

Mentor team members on technical issues

Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

Communications with Clients and OEMs.

Maintain complete technical documentation

Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Performing troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network

Responsible for Network Documentation using Visio Tools, MS-Power Point

Configuration and Troubleshooting of routes, VLAN, QoS

Cisco IOS security features and knowledge of security vulnerabilities, threats and attacks

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Proven understanding on Transport terminology Like , DWDM, IP, SDH, Ethernet

Good understanding of Fiber & Optical Communication

Solid background in network administration, monitoring and architecture

In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. MPLS,BGP, OSPF)

Sharp troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently

Organizational and mentoring skills

Ability to produce RCA of Severity incidents impacting network with minimum support from Superiors/Seniors within team

Hands on experience – Hardware Module, Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting for Routers and Switches

WAN-AUTOMATION-E

Knowledge on how BSNL/MTNL/Telecom infrastructure works for their customers’ WAN links

Required Education Bachelor’s Degree
